Dimitris Mouzourou of pfj wins Voyager’s June competition... Voyager Software is delighted to announce Dimitris Mouzourou of pfj as the winner of our second Spot The Difference competition. The competition offered recruitment agencies a prize of a free iPod as well as £200 off their next Voyager license if they could spot all 10 differences in a comic scene. Simon Cowell wasn't available to pick the winner so Gary King from www.rec-con.co.uk stood in to randomly pick Dimitris. | | Dimitris kindly spoke briefly to Voyager's Sales Director, Paul Thompson: Q: - Congratulations on winning the IPod! But I've got to ask - Did you find all 10 differences at www.voyage.co.uk/spotthedifference or press the 'cheat' button? A: - I'm a big fan of games and anything technology, so finding the differences wasn't a problem - I've never cheated!, finding them was easy! Q: - Do Recruiters ever cheat? 5% of the entrants did! A: - Not at pfj - Quick off the mark, canny and competitive though? Yes! Q: - You're very well known in PFJ for being the technology man - How is technology affecting the Recruitment market space in your opinion? A: - Growth around multi-platform sourcing is a major part of our strategy here at pfj. Constantly embracing new technology is key in Recruitment. PFJ was the first to launch a recruitment mobile website and social networking, blogs and search engine optimisation all helps towards offering a rounded service. Having such a mix, along with the more traditional processes ensures we cover every base. Social networking via Linked-in has grown as a source of candidates and clients and building on these relationships, using traditional networking methods has proven that the basics still need to be covered. Checking Facebook profiles, whilst fun is not something we do here. Q: - Technology is available to Candidates, Clients and Recruiters alike - What does the future hold? A: - I'd say mobility for Recruiters is set to grow as a whole, but we should not ignore other media options such as Web interviews. I can't help but think it's all a bit futuristic - But I remember thinking that about the first mobile phones. Every time a new technology is launched, recruiters and employers are often the first to embrace it. Not much surprises us here. Q: - Is there a place on the high street for Agencies anymore? or maybe the 2nd floor? A: - I think that 'High Street' agencies have a place in the market, normally for those candidates who just want to walk in and get a job, but this isn't the 80's and there are more options. It works great for 'local' agencies and more recently the 'Industrial recruitment' sectors have assumed that position. However, those looking for a more specific role should go to a sector specific agency. At pfj and The Graduate Recruitment Company, we understand our markets and so can really help candidates find their perfect role. Q: - Can you spot the Voyager difference? A: - I'll have a look, who knows I might get lucky again! Thanks for the IPOD!
