Jun 2010 - Market Confidence is Rising
Market Confidence is Rising by Paul Thompson, Voyager Software The good and bad thing about the recruitment business is it is very sensitive to changes in the economy. So while the national economy may shrink by a few percent, recruitment businesses can nosedive by twenty or thirty percent. Equally when the economy turns, after a brief lag, recruitment businesses can experience rocket-fuelled growth. The good and bad thing about being in the recruitment software business is that we tend to follow the fortunes of the industry we serve. And as a major supplier to the UK recruitment industry we are in a pretty good position to see what is happening right across the UK and since we have a broad portfolio of products, we can see how different sectors are performing. So, are things getting better or worse?

May 2010 - The Worldwide Training Passport
Recruitment Software providers Voyager urge Recruiters to fully explore the tools at their fingertips and launch a ‘Training passport’ for their users worldwide. There are many reasons why Recruiters do not understand the full capabilities of software, but missing a candidate off an ill-prepared search, or not knowing how to filter, sort and communicate with your contacts will dramatically impact on your ability to bill those fees, or keep your job! Increased market confidence has seen Recruitment Managers/Agency owners show more willing to invest in their best asset – their staff. The Worldwide Training Passport offers these businesses a flexible solution to their Training needs.

Mar 2010 - Crumbs! Let there be cake...
The Voyager team really pulled together this year, with the majority of staff creating over 30 different cakes, biscuits and treats for this year's charity event. We think the tenants in Belvedere House and its neighbours didn’t have breakfast that morning! Treats from every Voyager department filled the table and flew off it just as fast! It was great to see the team pull together, these events are great fun but also help raise funds for this year's Voyager charity event - all in aid of Sense.
With the upcoming Ridgewalk, it's a testament to how all Voyager staff work as a team and can achieve so much. The cake sale alone raised over £270.
